Tastes, perfumes, and colors of Beigua Park
The Park represents a special territory not only because it preserves biodiversity, but also because it safeguards and enhances the value of the cultural identity of each community settled within its area; moreover, it represents a laboratory where it is possible to experiment and develop sustainable social and economic activities. Among the latter, the agri-foodstuffs characterizing the Park territory are considered particularly important: nowadays, they still attract visitors.
If you come and visit Beigua Park, you will have the opportunity to taste many delicacies, starting from the very ancient confectionery industry (the "amaretti of Sassello", exported all over the world, and the delicious "crumiri of Masone"). Not to miss the wide range of dairy products (milk and cheese), beef and sheep meat, the colored and tasty berries, chestnuts and all the fine dishes prepared with them, mushroom picking and preservation, the scented fruit jam, the delicious honey varieties representing precious environmental indicators in the Park valleys... and much more!
As far as the Honey Types of Beigua Park, a specific enhancement measure of the beekeeping companies operating in Beigua Park has been activated.
Moreover, for a few years, the Park Authority has been participating with its beekeepers (sometimes playing the role of promoter and organizer) in the Contest "Mieli dei Parchi della Liguria".
